The mowing spec

What a visit leaves behind, written down before we ever start the mower.

This is the standard from our own service terms, not a sales line. Point at a mark to see it on a lawn we keep.

What we do

Six passes across one lawn.

Mowing is the pass we make every week. The rest of the work turns around it: feeding and weeding, the water underneath, the soil, the beds and patios, and the cleanups that open and close the season.

Weekly mowing

Weekly or biweekly. Every visit: mow, trim around obstacles and corners, edge the concrete line, and blow off the drive, walks, patio and deck. Routes are planned Sunday and Wednesday and you get a text or email notice before we arrive.

Who answers the phone

A Yakima native, back home with a lawn company.

Jose Covarrubias grew up in the Yakima Valley and started Spokane's Finest Lawns in 2016. In March 2023 the Yakima Herald-Republic covered him opening this company at 2323 S 5th Ave in Union Gap. People still mention the same thing first: somebody picks up.

“What a breath of fresh air this company was to talk to! After calling around for a few other local companies, they answered! I was calling to ask about lawn mowing services and they were so professional and polite. I think the gentleman I talk to was Jr and he made signing up for services very easy.”

Gary Fisette, Google review

“I had called Yakimas finest lawns and they showed up same day ( 1 hr later) and fixed the issue without delay. Would highly recommend and will be calling them for my services if needed. Thanks again! West valley resident”

Every question we get

We mow, trim around obstacles and corners, edge where concrete meets grass, and blow off every hard surface: driveway, sidewalks, patios, decks and patio furniture. Mowing is offered weekly or every other week.

We mow at 3 1/4 inches in spring and fall and 3.5 to 4 inches in summer. Cutting shorter invites disease and weeds and damages the roots, so we hold that height.

We mulch clippings whenever we can. During heavy growth or when the grass is too wet, we bag them. The crew lead makes that call when they arrive.

We plan routes each week on Sunday and Wednesday and send an email or text notice before every visit. Call Ahead is available on request, anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes before arrival, which helps if you need to unlock a gate or bring pets in.

Yes. You get two requested skips per season at no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Later requests or extra skips are $25 each.

Get on the route.

Send the address and what the yard needs. One of our team reaches out within 24 hours with a free estimate, and the work is backed by our 100% money-back guarantee.
