A Yakima kid, a Spokane lawn company, and a branch back home.
Jose Covarrubias grew up in the Yakima Valley. In 2016 he founded Spokane's Finest Lawns. In March 2023 he opened Yakima's Finest Lawns at 2323 S 5th Ave in Union Gap, a branch in his hometown.
The Yakima Herald-Republic ran the news on March 7, 2023, under the headline “Business tidbits: New lawn care business opens.” It described the new office as offering lawn care and mowing, property cleanups, lawn aeration, and fertilization and weed control.
That is the whole origin story, and we would rather tell it plainly than dress it up. A company that already ran lawn routes up north brought the same habits home: plan the week, send the notice, show up, finish the edges.
