Lawn care questions, answered straight.

How we mow, how we treat, how we get in, and how we bill. If yours isn't here, call (509) 834-0974.

Mowing and scheduling

We mow, trim around obstacles and corners, edge where concrete meets grass, and blow off every hard surface: driveway, sidewalks, patios, decks and patio furniture. Mowing is offered weekly or every other week.

We mow at 3 1/4 inches in spring and fall and 3.5 to 4 inches in summer. Cutting shorter invites disease and weeds and damages the roots, so we hold that height.

We mulch clippings whenever we can. During heavy growth or when the grass is too wet, we bag them. The crew lead makes that call when they arrive.

We plan routes each week on Sunday and Wednesday and send an email or text notice before every visit. Call Ahead is available on request, anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes before arrival, which helps if you need to unlock a gate or bring pets in.

Yes. You get two requested skips per season at no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Later requests or extra skips are $25 each.

Yes. We offer full sprinkler service: repair, installation and maintenance, including spring start-up and fall blow-out.

Treatments

Fertilization and weed control runs on the product label, and the label is the law.

In good conditions, about 14 days. Weather changes how fast the lawn takes up nutrients and weed control, so you may see results in as little as 7 days.

Once the product is dry. As a rule of thumb, keep everyone off for 3 hours after an application. We never spray while pets or children are in the area.

No. We can't apply products you supply under any circumstances. Licensed applicators are personally responsible for every application made under their license, and a product we didn't source brings too many unknowns.

That's called bolting, and it's a direct reaction to the application. When a weed's survival is threatened, it spends its stored energy on seed, and many unwanted grasses shoot up taller than the turf to do it. It's a sure sign the plant is stressed and dying. Mow or trim it to a shorter height and say a eulogy over the poor thing.

Access and billing

Invoices go out Saturday. Your card is charged the following Monday.

After you approve your estimate we send a link to put a card on file. Invoices go out on Saturday for that week's work and the card is charged the following Monday. Fertilization clients can pre-pay for the year; call the office for the details.

Open the gate lock on your service day, as your service notice email and text describe. The common fixes: unlock it before the crew arrives, be home to let them in, give us a key or code, or request Call Ahead so we ring you as we pull up. If the crew can't get in on a treatment day, the visit is charged at the full rate. For gated communities we store your gate code on your account and hand it to the technician at service time. At restricted-access sites we're happy to check in and out with security; contact us about security checks or clearances.

Card payments run through Clearent processing built into our operating system, and our processes are PCI compliant. After you approve your estimate, we send a link with a form to enter your card details.

The card on file is charged the Monday after your Saturday invoice. If a payment can't be processed, service is put on hold until payment is made, and a $25 fee is charged to your account. Repeated unsuccessful payments end the service.
